Description |
A wooden case, 26 inches x 38 inches, containing horseshoes. In the middle is a black and white picture of a man, James M. Skiff. He was born on February 7, 1847, and lived most of his life in Edinboro as a blacksmith doing specialized horse shoeing. He is listed as having a shop on Normal Street in 1873. He died in 1924. A copy of a newspaper article states it was donated to the Edinboro Historical Society by his daughters Anna and Bessie in 1944. The article says it was stored at the Public School. |
