Autograph book of Florence Fitzgerald, 1903-1909. Florence was born 1890 and died in 1974. She and her sister, Frances (1892-1983), lived at 117 Water Street. Daughters of Michael and Laura Frantz Fitzgerald. She graduated from Edinboro Normal School in 1909. She worked for Cooper Swift Company. Other ephermera from the sisters are the Fitzgerald Box, Shelf 14.

3 copied pages from "History of Erie County Pennsylvania, 1884" stating the history and geneology of William Van Dyke, a photographer who moved to Edinboro in 1870. He was married 3 times and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Kupper, a well-known Edinboro photographer, arrived in 1890. Van Dyke left the area in 1895.

A Franchise Agreement between Erie Transit Company and Edinboro to "construct, maintain and operate an Electric Street Railway," a trolley. It is dated September 25, 1899 and signed by E.G. Culbertson, the Burgess. The envelope is addressed to D.G. Wendell and dated March, 1900. The trolley began operation on September 30, 1900 and ended September 30, 1928. Fare to Erie was 45 cents.

The Hotel was upstairs in the Drake Building built in 1911 after the 1909 fire. Downstaris it ran a restaurant and ice cream palor. Rooms were $1.50/day. E.J.Swanson was the proprietor until 1915. The House of Edinboro was started by Bill Schulz and Stan Westcott, from western New York, in 1959. Before that the building, built in 1910, was owned by the Culbertson Company and used as a stable for horses. There were 25 miles of bridle paths. It was briefly owned by Lang Electric. Described as a merchant, banker and Edinboro public official. Believed to be the owner of Gillaspie Store that later became Zindel's Hardware. The article says that he has two daughters left - Mrs. Harry Cooper, Mrs. Ralph Zindel. There is no date on the article.
